Ephemerata    Photos shown at the 2008 Artomatic exhibit, May 9 - June 15 in Washington DC.
Tired of the current obsession with sharp imagery made popular due to modern digital cameras, I've discovered wet darkroom work and the expressiveness of crummy tools. My Holga camera forces me to walk a tightrope of materials, skills and vision, considering the natural world and the beauty of the imperfect and ephemeral.
These images were taken with Kodak Tmax film using a Holga camera, except for Guarded and Recumbent Tulips which are from a Nikon film camera. They are printed on Ilford fiber paper in a traditional darkroom and archivally matted. Standard size for the square prints is 6"x6", the others are 6"x9"
